In this life, we will bleed. Following Jesus does not eliminate suffering. In many ways, it brings us face to face with it. In 1 Peter 2: 19–25, Peter speaks to believers who are already walking through hardship, reminding us that suffering is not accidental but a reality of life in a fallen world. This passage invites us to see endurance as a place where God’s grace meets us. Through the example of Jesus, who suffered unjustly yet remained focused on the Father, we are shown how pain can be endured with purpose and how even our hardest moments can still produce good fruit when surrendered to God.
