Apart from Him, we are always lacking. By nature, fruit doesn’t return to the vine only when it’s convenient or when it needs something—it lives there. It remains, resides, and depends on the vine because the vine is the source of everything it needs.
In the same way, those who are found in Christ must have their lives rooted in Him. In this teaching, we unpack the call to abide—and the beautiful truth that we are not only invited into abiding, but created for it.
