1 Peter chapter 2 begins a conversation around identity. Last week, we looked at the identity of King Jesus—and how He must be the centerpiece, the main thing, the cornerstone of our faith. This week, we continue in verses 9–10 of chapter 2 to discover who we are: a chosen race, a holy nation, a people for His own possession. Peter reminds us not only what we—collectively as the Body and church of Christ—are called from, but also what we are called to: to proclaim the light that brought us out of darkness. Before we can live out that calling, we must first understand who we are and our relationship to the King. Join us as we explore our identity in Christ and how this truth shapes everything we do.
