In the second week of our message Tried & Tested, we explored the kind of faith that 1 Peter 1:6–7 calls precious.
We don’t often think of our faith as something to marvel at or hold as valuable. But Peter does. He compares it to gold—rock broken, crushed, mined, burned, and refined until it revealed as pure and precious. And then he declares that our faith, tested through trials, is even more valuable than gold.
Peter goes on to show us what comes out of this tested and purified faith: praise, glory, honor, and the revelation of Jesus Christ. This week, we unpack how trials are not wasted but are part of God’s refining work, shaping a faith that is both eternal and precious.
